Job Summary

Coach parkour curriculum in recreational classes to ages 7 and older including teens and adults. Coaching occurs in hour-long classes with opportunities including birthday parties, events, and summer camp.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coaching weekly parkour classes

  • Supervising open gyms

  • Coaching special events (including open houses, birthday parties, summer camp competitions, annual Halloween party, etc.)

  • Help share basic cleaning duties

  • Able to demonstrate basic parkour skills

Performance Expectations

  • Shows excitement to coach through learning and self-development

  • Resolves and manages conflict disruptions to classes

  • Applies risk management and safety in potentially dangerous settings and environments during classes

  • Maintains a positive attitude and collaborates well with the team accurately

  • Monitors and mitigates safety concerns, facilitates class learning, and engages students

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that foster growth and development for children

  • Learn, teach, and demonstrate basic parkour movements that are adaptable to different student capabilities

  • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and self-aware presence to students, staff, and clients in a professional manner

Qualifications & Skills

  • Willingness to learn and develop as a parkour coach athlete

  • Experience with parkour or a similar movement background I.e. dance, gymnastics, climbing, martial arts, etc.) OR experience in a camp environment.

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a teaching, coaching, or supervising position.

  • First Aid certification is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Positive, professional attitude. Empathy and problem-solving skills.

  • Applicants are required to be a minimum of 16 years of age.

  • High school graduate (or equivalent) required, college preferred. 

  • Bonus points for related fields of study/experience. Experience is helpful, but not necessary. We train!
