Format
Each chase consists of four-to-six, 15-second rounds.
Chases will rotate each round between bouts for rest time.
E.g. Round 1: Bout A, B, C | Round 2: Bout A, B, C | Etc.
One point is given for each evasion. No point is given for tags.
Each competitor will rotate between roles each round being the Chaser and Evader.
Competitor Rules
Competitors should aim for the torso to the best of their ability.
Competitors must touch through the shirt/pants to the body. Swiping loose clothing does not count as a tag. Touching shoes counts as a tag.
Competitors should tag with the hand to the best of their ability.
Active competitors must stay in bounds. They will receive a two-foot grace step. More than two steps at a time will result in a loss. Competitors must immediately return in bounds if out of bounds. Intentional abuse of the grace step will result in a round loss.
If a match ends in a draw, it goes to a Sudden Death.
Sudden Death Rules
Competitors will play in even-numbered rounds rotating roles each round.
If Competitor A tags as the Chaser, then Competitor B must beat Competitor A’s tag time to win. If Competitor A does not tag in their round, but Competitor B does in their sequential round, then Competitor B wins.
If a winner is not decided after two rounds of Sudden Death (for example, if both Chases end in an Evasion), the process is repeated.
